Well, no, this isn't really about how I spent my summer vacation, because when you're an adult it isn't really much different than any other season, is it? The big difference for me is that I spend much more time indoors; I can't abide heat! (No, I'm not sure why I'm still living in Southern California.)
I did the Pageant of the Masters, which always seems to make the summer fly by.
I took a fantastic 3-day trip to San Francisco to visit Brad and the cutest puppy in the world, Winston. We had such a wonderful time roaming around the city and hiking in Napa! And the sourdough bread...I don't think I stopped eating it the whole time I was there...
I also spent a fun couple of days visiting friends in Phoenix (again, no, I'm not sure why I went to Phoenix in the middle of the summer...).
I saw a lot of great theater and spent some nice evenings at the Hollywood Bowl, Edison Field, and backyard barbecues. You know, summer business as usual.
Oh, and my birthday was in the summer! We had a wonderful beach party and spent two days in Catalina to mark the occasion. (You'll have to check out the pictures in the Photo Gallery!)
Ricardo became a citizen (yay, Ricardo!) and had a big party to celebrate!
The summer ended Labor Day weekend with an amazing dinner party at David's. It was a perfect way to close out the season.
And THAT'S how I spent my summer vacation.
