The Tazo of Tuesday

I spent this morning running around work like a crazy person, all hopped up on cappuccinos; now I'm drinking Tazo tea and trying to get all zen with my bad self.

It seems to be working.

Sunday morning was Kickoff Sunday at church! It was all very exciting. The choir was back from summer break, and the interim minister has started. I like him; I was very curious to see what he'd be like. I'm not worried. I think things will work out just fine for us.

We (the choir) gave Rob a bad time about how nicely he was dressed. Personally, I think he always dresses nicely. He's got the style gene going.

Our first rehearsal on Thursday was so exciting...it's always like the first day back at school! (Minus the new clothes, I suppose.) Everyone was talking about their summer vacation and all...you'd think we hadn't actually seen each other EVERY SUNDAY this summer. But still.

It was odd how few people showed up to the first rehearsal; normally that's the one rehearsal everyone (and their brother) goes to, but last week there were very few people there. Rob was disappointed, which made me feel badly. And then on Kickoff Sunday, even fewer people showed up to sing. Odd.

We have some GREAT music for Christmas! We're doing my favorite John Rutter (Rob threw it in especially for me!) and Vaughn Williams' Christmas Fantasy. Larry is the soloist on that one; I can't wait! I know he'll sound beautiful.

Anyway, I spent the rest of the weekend enclosed in my air conditioned house, studying myself silly. I'm taking the exam hopefully this-coming weekend, and I REALLY hope on passing the first time. Not that it hasn't been a pleasurable experience...but I'm so ready for it to be behind me, you have no idea.

So that's how my week is shaping up: studying, studying, and...oh, that's right, more studying! Hopefully all that will be done soon, and I'll be able to move on with my life! Perhaps right into a rehearsal for Turandot...? I haven't heard about that one yet. At any rate, I'm going camping in a couple of weeks, and that'll be a nice diversion.

Ohm, and all that! Ta!
