Happy Saturday!
It was another early day for me…I hit the gym at dawn, then scooted over to Fashion Island and met Chad for coffee. (But not on a scooter. Although how cool are the new Vespas?? If I lived in Europe, I’d buy one in a second! Sadly, it doesn’t make much sense to have one in LA.)
Anyway, after coffee I tooled around Fashion Island for a little bit, searching for a gift for Jeff’s new baby, who is due to make his grand entrance in a couple of weeks. I picked up some adorable, frou-frou baby things at Caswell Massey. I have no doubt the baby will think, “Do mine eyes deceive me? Goatmilk AND honey in a lotion? Ah, what a splendid idea!”
And now I’m back home and ready to take on the studying again. Almost done! Well, kind of almost.
I was bored and dying to get away from the books and out of the house last night, so I jumped at the invitation to go to the movies. Mike, Karen and I all love “Vanity Fair” (the book), and were anxious to see the movie. It was very well done! I was a tiny bit doubtful about Reece Witherspoon (I kept having flashbacks of Keanu Reeves in “Much Ado,” or Winona Ryder in “Dracula”), but she was great. A beautiful movie. The three-year-old sitting behind us, however, apparently didn’t think much of it, according to his wailing and kicking of Karen's seat. Sigh.
"Keanu Reeves in “Much Ado,” or Winona Ryder in “Dracula”"
Can't stop laughing...2 epic moments in cinamatic history...burned in my minds eye for life.
"Take me away from all this DEAHHHTH!"
