Hello Everyone!

Lisa’s birthday was this month…happy birthday!

On a recent trip to Palm Springs, I visited the Air Museum. It’s a really beautiful place (and air conditioned, thank heaven!). The floors are shiny and the planes are shiny, which is especially impressive considering that most of them still fly. They just take really excellent care of their airplanes.

Anyway, according to his “Aviator Flight Log Book,” in 1931-32 Grandaddy trained in an O3U-1…catapulted out of it, too! I happened to run into an O3U-1 at this museum. Kind of neat to think that 70 years ago Grandaddy might have trained in this! Here’s a picture of it.

I also couldn’t resist getting my picture taken with a pretty little Spitfire! I can just see it buzzing around England about 60 years ago.

I have some pictures from last Thanksgiving in my photo gallery…check them out! I wish I could visit again this Thanksgiving, but unfortunately my heartless employer is making me work on Friday.

Well, I’m going to spend the rest of my afternoon doing some cooking for Christmas…if I plan on having pickled onions and Christmas pudding ready by then, I have to make them now! If the Christmas pud doesn’t spend two months sitting in brandy, it just won’t be passable.
